Fivesquared along with its sister company Earlsmere ID Systems Ltd. have joined forces to supply robust polyurethane tags as part of an innovative barcode and RFID equipment management solution.
Fivesquared in partnership with its sister company Earlsmere ID Systems Ltd. can now supply a complete asset management system to organizations required to regularly assess the condition of operational equipment, either by health and safety regulations or for identification and asset management purposes.
Software solutions have been developed and supplied to organizations such as local authorities, fire and rescue departments and many more. Designed to work in all conditions the equipment management solution uses the latest Psion hand held reader, together with highly durable, colour coded polypropylene tags, to provide an information capture solution that is enabled for either barcode or RFID, as preferred.
Equipment can be located and quickly and efficiently and identified from anywhere in the world, as well as allowing management safety inspectors and operational staff are on the road. Where required by legislation, the system also provides unquestionable evidence tha an item of equipment has been inspected.
Our comprehensive range of tags forms the tangible link between the software reader and the piece of equipment being identified. Robust enough to withstand extremes of weather and temperature, our tags are equally at home underground or underwater and are unaffected by grease, grime or solvents. They offer a cost-effective solution to compliance with health and safety legislation.
Both barcode and RFID labels can enable speedier, more accurate information capture and can be used on wide range equipment although RFID is particularly beneficial in wet or dirty environments.

Often positioned as next generation bar-coding, RFID can increase business productivity and reduce associated costs.
As radio waves are used to read a number from an RFID tag line-of-sight is not necessary. Many tags can also be read together, rather than separately as is required for barcodes, offering huge savings potential.
More accurate at the first swipe, RFID can reduce errors and enable better audit and asset control. The ability to track and trace means assets can be located more easily, while the opportunity for enhanced data collection leads to increased accuracy of record keeping and improved asset management enabling regulatory compliance to be achieved much more effectively.
